I am a registered Osteopath and Movement Rehabilitation Specialist with a unique background as a professional contemporary dancer. My journey from contemporary dance and classical ballet to the osteopathy clinic has equipped me with a deep understanding of the human body, its movements, injury and prevention and biomechanics.

My background has deeply influenced my approach to osteopathy, where I believe mobility, body awareness, form, balance, flexibility, technique and strength are paramount to achieving and maintaining both physical and mental health.
I specialise in neuro-musculo-skeletal pain, sports injuries, and postural problems. My care is tailored to the individual needs of my patients, giving them tools to improve their body awareness and understanding of the root cause of their symptoms and to equip my patients with long term solutions to self manage their acute or chronic conditions.

I love working with patients from all walks of life ranging from mature patients to professional dancers, expectant mothers to business executives, athletes to musicians and home working professionals to hard working parents.

I have a huge appreciation and love for the moving body and I'm ambitious to improve my patients’ body experience, from acute or chronic pain relief to improving function, technique, posture, well being and self esteem.
TREATMENTS
OSTEOPATHY
Osteopathy is a primary healthcare technique and holisitic form of manual therapy that can help to detect, diagnose, treat and prevent a range of medical conditions relating to the neuro-musculo-skeletal system (Nerves, muscles and bones). It supports the function of the moving body through a combination of non-invasive movement, massage and stretching techniques such as: Soft and connective tissue techniques Myofascial mobilisation Direct techniques & joint manipulation Strengthening and stretching methods Muscle energy techniques (METs) Neuromuscular techniques Techniques to encourage fluid flow, lymphatic drainage and tissue repair We use the techniques and physical manipulations with the aim of increasing joint mobility, relieving muscle tension, reducing pain, enhancing blood supply to tissues and ultimately helping the body to heal itself. Osteopathy can be used to treat a number of musculoskeletal problems and conditions such as: Acute and chronic low back pain Sciatica Acute and chronic neck pain Shoulder pain Arthritis, (eg. Hip/knee) Problems with the pelvis, hips and legs Sports injuries & Repetitive strain injuries (RSI’s, sprains, tears, tendonitis etc.) Frozen shoulder Tennis elbow Carpal tunnel syndrome Plantar fasciitis Orthopaedic post-operative care Problems with posture caused by driving, work or pregnancy etc.
BODY & MOVEMENT
Body and Movement (BAM) sessions are personalized, one on one exercise and rehabilitation sessions designed to help you regain strength, improve flexibility, and enhance your overall well-being. Influenced by my background in dance, I have uniquely combined the principles of Osteopathy rehabilitation (similar to physiotherapy), Yoga, Calisthenics and Pilates techniques to help clients improve coordination, posture, flexibility, strength, endurance and muscle tone post injury or orthopoedic surgery. BAM sessions are also an ideal supplement to your current movement and exercise practices to help improve your form, technique, alignment and body awareness be it yoga, pilates, running, Gym work outs, home work outs or HIIT. Our bodies are beautifully designed to move. But long working hours sustaining static postures in sedentary lifestyles will accumulate postural tensions, reduce mobility and can make us feel stiff and sluggish. BAM sessions promote flexibility, define and sculpt the body in an organic and holistic way, while mobilising and relieving tension caused by these daily stresses and habits.
SPORTS MASSAGE
Sports massage involves advanced manipulation of soft tissues in the body to assist in the correction and imbalances of them, relieve pain and tension, improve circulation and enhance performance and recovery. Sports massage can also be powerful for alleviating daily aches and pains and promote well-being. My approach to massage is informed by a deep understanding of the body, honed through years of professional dance and osteopathic practice, drawing from these disciplines I provide treatments that are as effective as they are relaxing.
